Today there are a lot of resouces that you have to educate yourself on the correct ways to care for your puppies.   For now let’s just try to move in the right direction. You might not do all things correct, but what is most important is that you are moving in the right direction. Especially with the addition of the new puppy to your family, patience is a must when educating yourself on any new method.

Now, let’s get started with some basics of puppy crate training. We will start with why you should use a crate to house break your puppy. In the wild wolves use an enclosed area to grow their young called a den and this is where dogs are similar. Spending their puppyhood this way results in them being relaxed and secure in a den. As opposed to being exposed to predators at night, they natually choose a den when they get a little older. This can be a dug out section of a hill or underground, it will provide safety and comfort.

Keeping it’s den clean and not using it to potty in is your dogs natural instinct. This instinct by itself is a thing that we as men or women can use to our advantage when housebreaking a puppy. Anyway, if you happen to be someone who doesn’t like having your puppies in crates, you are actually going with nature in providing a den with security.  Puppy crate training is a safe humane way to house train your puppy quickly and effectively.

Most people should be able to toilet train their puppy with a little guidance.Before they are able to control their functions, puppies need to reach a certain level of physical and mental maturity.There will be a lot of patience required for puppies of any age, especially puppies less than 12 weeks old.

Puppies potty training can begin at any time but will be easier if a certain age is first reached.The older the puppy, the easier it will be to train.  For example, a puppy that is six month old might take only a few days to train.The more skill and patience that you have, the less time it will take.

Paper training is a good way to start.Place a newspaper in the same place all the time and teach the puppy to go on it.You can teach the puppy to go outside once you have successfully trained it to go on the paper.The puppy will have accidents, but this is par for the course.Consistency and patience are required for puppies potty training and don’t get discouraged.  Don’t lose your temper and keep at it.Your life will be so much easier once the puppy is toilet trained.

Most people can toilet train their puppies.Don’t start when the puppy is too young.  Always be patient and consistent and don’t give up or lose your temper.Begin by paper training and progress to getting the puppy to go outside.The training will take between a few days and a few weeks, it depends on your skill and your puppy’s age.
